What We Like
Compact design: Like other ProForm home treadmills, the 570 has a patented SpaceSaver design: the deck folds up for storage.
Motor: This model’s quiet Mach Z 2.8 HP motor brings industrial-level power to a home workout machine.
Track cushioning: Patented ProSoft cushioning reduces joint stress by up to 22% over road training.
Workout options: By using the upper-arm exercising bars, a user can burn up to 50% more calories than when exercising their lower body alone. Three interactive personal training workouts and twelve standard workouts are built into the console.
Fan: A fan built into the console helps extend an exerciser’s endurance.
What We Don’t Like
Track length: The ProForm 570’s track is just 55” long, which is too short for some users.
Warranty: While ProForm provides a lifetime warranty on the motor and frame, the brand’s 90-day warranty on other parts is disappointing.
Our Verdict
This machine is equipped with a quiet commercial-grade motor and a well-cushioned track. A variety of workout programs is included, but the ProForm’s entertainment options fall short of what is available on many comparably-priced home treadmills today. The limited warranty on parts is also a cause for concern.
Since the ProForm 570 CrossWalk is essentially the same machine as the next model up, the 780 CS, it may be a better buy for users who want to combine upper-arm training with treadmill use. However, sometimes the 780 is sold for less than the 570. Be sure to compare prices before making a purchase.
