Many of the treadmills I looked at prefer that you have them on their own breaker. I'm looking for a good, economical treadmill that does not require me to turn off everything else in my room to run. Any suggestions?

Hi Lamar. We would recommend choosing a treadmill in this case that requires the least amount of energy to run. Something like the SOLE brands are more standard and affordable with a smaller operating system. You can always contact the manufacturer directly as they may be better to direct you to the machine that will be functional and convenient for you.

Thanks for the great article. I had a Reebok treadmill and got rid of it a few years ago (it was big, bulky, and noisy). Now I’m looking for a replacement. The treadmill will be upstairs, on a laminate floor. Can you tell me if any of these treadmills are quieter than the others? More compact is better too, and not too heavy. I’m not a competitive athlete — just trying to find a cardio solution to get back into shape. Thanks again!

Hi Nicole, from my personal experience I found the SOLE brand to be more silent and compact. Sole makes great products but it is definitely a tough choice as most of these are amazing treadmills.

hi amanda I am looking for a treadmill which will be easy on my knees, i do not care about the bells and whistles, just care about good cushioning & belt which creates less impact on my knees. in your opinion which one would be the best given my requirements ? Thanks
    • Amanda B. April 26, 2019 at 10:00 am
Hi Bijal, my personal favourite of the more basic treadmills is the SOLE F80. This is a compact treadmill that offers a great workout without too many extras. It is super easy to use and will get the work done.
