Horizon is a discount treadmill brand produced by Johnson Health Technology. Horizon’s more advanced models, such as the T103, offer good value.

What We Like

  • Price: Horizon treadmills are priced for exercisers with smaller workout budgets. The Horizon T103, one of the line’s top reviewed models, sells for just $1199 and is sometimes discounted to $999.
  • Motor: With a 2.75 CHP motor, the T103 has exceptional power for a discount treadmill. Runners can reach speeds of 12 mph.
  • Consoles: Horizon consoles are user-friendly, attractive, and have some fun features. The T103 has 14 adjustable workout programs. Users can track progress on a widescreen LCD display plus two smaller LCD displays to display more data at once. COOLfit™ vortex fans are also included.
  • Track cushioning: Horizon treadmill tracks have adjustable ComfortSELECT™ cushioning. Each user can easily set a preferred balance between shock absorption and support.
  • Incline: The T103’s incline of 12% is steeper than that of most budget treadmills
  • Audio: iPod-compatible Sonic Surround™ speakers are built right into the treadmill. There’s also a headphone output jack.
  • Capacity: The T103 has a 350-pound user capacity.
  • Warranties: Customers get a lifetime warranty on the T103’s frame and motor plus a two-year warranty on parts and one year for labor. Extended warranty plans including in-home service are also available.

What We Don’t Like

  • Track size: The 55”x20” tread-belt is too short for some users.

Our Verdict

With an excellent lifetime warranty package, the T103 is a great buy for $1199 or less. It has a strong motor, a number of motivational workout programs, and adjustable cushioning. The built-in speakers are a nice bonus. The only drawback is the relatively short track. At 55” long, however, this is Horizon’s best offer; other models have just 50” tracks.
