Brand new for 2014, the NordicTrack C1600 Pro is part of the C series of treadmills known for their FlexSelect ™ Cushioning technology that makes running or walking easier on the joints. The C1600 Pro comes with the advanced technology that NordicTrack has come to be known for, which includes a 7″ web-enabled color touchscreen featuring Google Maps ™ and iFit ® technology so users can easily customize each and every workout. This model also has  two 3″ speakers and a music port with iPod capability. A heart rate monitor and wireless chest pulse strap are also included.

This treadmill features an extra-long deck at 60″, a 3.5 CHP motor and One-Touch ™ controls to set speed, incline and decline. With a decline capability of -3% to 0%, this treadmill is ideal for downhill training. Despite the longer deck, the C1900 Pro can be easily stored with EasyLift ™ Assist to help you easily lift and fold the deck for easy storage.

What We Like:

  • Motor: Features a strong 3.5 CHP motor that allows for speeds of up to 12 mph , an incline of up to 15% and a decline down to -3%.
  • High-Tech Console: The  7” web-enabled color touchscreen makes working out fun and interactive with internet connectivity to connect to your favorite social media sites, Google Maps ™ to design your own terrain, and iFit ™ to create custom workouts.
  • Audio:  iPod compatibility and two 3” speakers make listening to music from your favorite devices simple and easy, without even having to use headphones.
  • Deck: FlexSelect ™ Cushioning combined with an extra-long deck makes for a pleasing workout experience that is easier on joints and safer than other treadmills.
  • Storage: Easily fold and store this treadmill without compromising space for comfort.
  • Warranty: Comes with 5-year parts and electronics warranty, 2-year labor warranty, and lifetime warranty on the frame and motor.

What We Don’t Like:

  • Technology: While this model comes equipped with multiple high-tech features and capabilities, to use iFit™ users must have a monthly membership and even with a membership, the program tends to have a few glitches from time to time.
  • Cost:Though the price is a bit higher than most other treadmills at around $2,499, this treadmill comes with more advanced options and technology that many other treadmills lack.

Our Verdict:

The NordicTrack C1600 Pro is an all-around great treadmill designed for comfort and usability. The high-tech features help users easily set fitness goals and monitor their progress, while also providing entertainment with a web-enabled color touchscreen. The ability to both incline and decline the deck also provides more advanced training options for users of all ability levels.
