The ProForm home treadmill brand is made by ICON Health and Fitness, a company that also manufactures NordicTrack, Epic, and other treadmill brands. The ProForm 1050T is the top-of-the-line treadmill in ProForm’s Technical Series. The full line includes the 590T and the 1050T.

What We Like

  • Compact design: Each treadmill in the ProForm Technical Series features a SpaceSaver™ design.
  • Motors: The 1050T’s 3.0 CHP Mach Z™ motor is strong enough to be called commercial grade, and it can handle heavy daily training. The motor can support up to 325 pounds and a top speed of 12 mph.
  • Workout programs: Twenty standard workout programs are built into the 1050T. The machine is also equipped with an iFit card reader, so users can update their workout routines. Each iFit card contains eight weeks of exceptional personal training: users listen to Jillian Michaels and other personal trainers, and the treadmill automatically adjusts its incline and decline to support the individual user’s workout goals.

ProForm’s Technical Series provides an impressive treadmill lineup for 2010. The 1050T’s iFit 20 workout options and great audio capability provide extra motivation to exercise. Our review found a very generous warranty package which helps instill confidence that the machine is built to last.

The 1050T includes a number of upgrades such as a stronger motor, a longer track, additional workout programs, and Lift Assist.
